The Foldaway foldable crate meets the highest standards for strength and safety thanks to extensive strength calculations. During the design phase, variations in wall thickness and reinforcement structures such as ribs and stiffening edges were applied to ensure optimal strength without adding extra weight. The use of high-quality HDPE also contributes to the crate’s strength while keeping it lightweight and easy to handle.

Innovative Development Processes

When developing the Foldaway, we used 3D printing and rapid prototyping. This allowed us to quickly turn ideas into functional prototypes. By testing models both at scale (1/2) and full size, we were able to carefully evaluate and perfect features such as the ergonomic handles for maximum user convenience.

Collaboration with Product Designers

The Foldaway is the result of close collaboration between Artori, a leading product design agency, and our R&D and production teams. Their design expertise and our manufacturing craftsmanship came together to create a crate that is not only functional, but also visually aligned with Didak’s brand identity—both when open and closed.
